Syracuse University Badminton Club Syracuse, NY
SU Badminton Club is a collegiate badminton team affiliated with USAB. The badminton Club's mission is to assist and facilitate the playing of badminton as a sport by all those who want to play, promote badminton and create an atmosphere for the training of the badminton player and competing in local tournaments. We are open to all SU/ESF students/faculties/staff.
Rpi Badminton Club Troy, NY
RPI Badminton club was established in early 1990s. As an RPI Union funded club, it has been serving badminton community in and around RPI for 20 years. RPI Badminton Club provides both competitive and non-competitive environment for RPI students and Non-RPI members from the community to learn and practice badminton. We currently have over 50 RPI students and 20 non-RPI members of all skill levels, from beginners to champion of Collegiate Competitive tournaments. We organize a 3-hour practice three times a week. We hold RPI Open Badminton Tournament once a year and the recent one attracted 20 RPI students and over 30 Non-RPI players to participate. Normally, we have two outside-RPI tournaments per year in Rochester and New Jersey to let our players gain more experiences from competitive games.

Brooklyn Badminton is one of the oldest badminton clubs in the greater New York area. It started as a group activity for John Dewey High School students who loved the sport of badminton, more than 12 years ago. Most of the current members have been in the club for more than ten years, many of them continued from high school into adulthood. Brooklyn Badminton has one of the finest badminton facilities in the New York area. Not only do we have 8 beautiful badminton courts, with magnificent lighting, but also a huge, free parking spaces with an excellent safety record. Brooklyn Badminton has some of the best badminton players in the area. Beginners learn from many excellent, experienced players, and all different level-players have the enjoyment of playing this sport in our club. Mr. Wu had represented China in varies top ranked international tournaments and won numerous national and international titles throughout his professional carrier. Mr. Wu also won and ranked as US top badminton player since he moved to the states. He had over 20 years of coaching experience from high school club level to professional level players. He was head coach for numerous professional badminton clubs in China, Spain & USA. He is one of the few national level (level 4) coach in the USA, the only one in tri-state area, who qualifies in coaching national level players and groups. NYCB is operated under BADMINTON SPACE, INC. which handling gym space usage, training classes, camps and tournaments throughout the year. It has 2 sub-clubs in New York: MANHATTAN Badminton Club & QUEENS Badminton Club. NYCB currently provides 7 days / week badminton practices. We offers the convenience for players to play on any of the days they prefer and at any of the location nearby. All locations are close to public transportation, public parking is also available.

There are only 4 badminton facilities in the US that use YONEX Acourmats, CPBC is honored to be the first and the only one in east coast that equipped these BWF approved standard court mats. The well cushioning YONEX Acourmats offer maximum shock absorption and greatly reduce the impact and loading injuries. As we all known, lighting is one of the most crucial elements of the badminton games, this facility is well equated with high efficient, high output fluorescent lamps most suitable for a badminton gymnasium. This facility is also well ventilated and fully heated during winter. The ceiling height is 33ft, which exceeds the height requirement from Badminton World Federation.

Since its inauguration in 2007, the NYU Badminton Club-Team has been at the top of its game. The team plays in national and regional competitions and this year competed against UPenn, Drexel, Columbia, and Princeton. The team is a major badminton force in the Northeast area. For the past two years, NYU has placed 2nd out of 16 schools at the Yonex Northeast Collegiate Badminton Team Championships tournament hosted in Boston. The NYU Badminton Club is one of the most diverse club sports on campus. The goal is to promote and create awareness of badminton to those in the NYU community. Intermediate/advanced play at the Lindbergh Elementary School in Kenmore, New York. We play in a large gym with wood floors, refinished yearly. Three courts, good lighting, high quality nets. We play Thursday nights, 7-9:30 from September to June each year. Program is run through the Ken-Ton adult education program.
